Here I share a real-life example of a client who borrowed $1,000,000 from his properly structured, maximum-funded IUL policy to buy, fix, and flip commercial real estate.
He used an Alternate Loan, which means he would be charged about 5% interest for the loan, and he would be credited an index rate, based on his choice of index strategies.
In 2017, he was credited 25%, so he netted 20% tax-free growth in his policy that year – all while using the $1,000,000 loan for his real estate venture.
This is just one of the many reasons I’m a fan of IUL – its opportunity for tax-free growth, and access to tax-free income.
